This privacy policy describes how the Auto Close Domains browser extension (“the Extension”), developed by Martin Moen Wulffeld (“I”, “me”, or “the Developer”), handles information.

Summary

The Extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. Settings you choose are stored only on your device and never leave your browser.

What the Extension does

Auto Close Domains lets you maintain a list of domains. When a tab navigates to a listed domain, the Extension closes that tab. You can add domains from the popup, the options page, or a context menu item.

Data stored locally

The Extension stores the following on your device using Chrome's local storage API:

• Blocklist — hostnames you choose to auto-close (for example, www.example.com).

This data stays in your browser profile. It is not uploaded to any server operated by the Developer or by any third party.

Permissions and transient use of tab information

The Extension uses these Chrome permissions only to provide its features:

• storage — to save and read your blocklist on this device.
• tabs / activeTab — to read a tab's URL so it can match hostnames against your blocklist and close matching tabs.
• contextMenus — to offer “Auto close domain” in the right-click menu.

Tab URLs are checked in memory against your blocklist and are not stored, logged, or sent anywhere.

Data the Extension does not collect

• No browsing history is retained beyond the momentary URL check described above.
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking identifiers.
• No account, name, email, or payment information.
• No remote network requests for telemetry or sync.

Sharing of information

I do not sell, rent, or share any Extension-related user data with third parties. There is no backend service associated with the Extension that receives your data.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

The use of information received from Google APIs (and Chrome extension APIs) adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children's privacy

The Extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
